The move comes after the Bears reportedly agreed to a big-money deal with Mike Glennon, who backed up Jameis Winston in Tampa Bay last season.

Cutler leaves Chicago as the Bears’ all-time leader in passing yards, but the team made the playoffs just once with him under center. The 33-year-old led the league in interceptions in both 2010 and 2014, and the Bears finished last in their division in each of the past three seasons.

His options to continue as a starter will be limited, but there likely will be at least one team that sees his arm talent and is willing to overlook his 68-71 career record.
